My approach

We explore the barriers from a person-centred, compassion-filled lens, finding new options, tools and perspectives while stepping into unfulfilled potential. In practice that usually means blending several approaches around you rather than following one method.

Person-centred

You set the pace and the direction. My first focus is the uniqueness of each client and the challenges in front of them.

Narrative

Looking at the stories we carry about ourselves, and finding room to retell them in ways that fit who you want to be.

Cognitive behavioural (CBT)

Noticing the thought patterns that keep the loop going, and building practical tools to work with them.

Solution-focused (SFBT)

Short, forward-looking work that starts from what already works for you and builds on it.

A welcoming space

My practice is allied with and welcoming to bisexual, gay, queer, non-binary and transgender clients, sex workers, and single parents. Whoever you are, the aim is a room where you don't have to explain or defend yourself before the work can begin.
